Last year, MIUI 11 was announced in September and its global stable ROM began rolling out in October, so we expect the MIUI 12 to arrive during the same period in 2020.
MIUI 11 brought along system-wide dark mode, improved always-on display, and Mi Lan Pro system font. It also came with new animations, wallpapers and themes, and the company also announced Mi Go Travel suite to help you with booking tickets for different modes of travel.
What MIUI 12 will bring in and how big an upgrade it will be over its predecessor remains to be seen, MIUI 12 is teased to be unveiled soon. Xiaomi has posted a teaser image through the official MIUI Weibo account to confirm the development of its next-generation custom ROM. MIUI 12 is likely to come with new colour schemes as shown in teaser. MIUI 12 will debut as the successor version of MIUI 11.
MIUI has been one of the major offerings from Xiaomi, which was first released in 2010. The upcoming MIUI 12, which will mark the 10th anniversary of the Xiaomi’s user interface, is expected to bring a refreshed interface along with some impressive features. It will be interesting to see what the company has planned to mark this milestone.
But more information about it is likely to surface in the coming weeks or months.
