Virat Kohli Wins Hearts With Follow-Up Comment on 'Leave India' Remark, Twitter Supports Indian Captain For His Diplomatic Stance
He plays like a 'man possessed' on that pristine 22-yard strip but off it he's a mere mortal! Virat Kohli can do nothing wrong on a cricket field but his off the field controversial remarks landed him in an unfortunate controversy. The Indian captain capped a severe backlash from all corners for his controversial response to a fan during a live chat on Wednesday. Following up to the issue. Kohli posted his own stand on the whole debate. He said that he is all for "freedom of choice" and urged his fans to "take it light".
The Indian captain courted controversy when he asked a fan to "leave the country" while responding to his comment that he found the Indian skipper over-rated. Kohli remarks did not go down well with the Twitterati, who trolled him for his unsavoury comments. "I guess trolling isn't for me guys, I'll stick to getting trolled! I spoke about how "these Indians" was mentioned in the comment and that's all. I'm all for freedom of choice. Keep it light guys and enjoy the festive season. Love and peace to all," the 30-year old, who was in a damage control mode, tweeted.
After Kohli's diplomatic stand, the Twitter world and netizens backed their favourite captain and also called it a once-in-a-while error from world's leading batsman. Check some Tweets in favour of the fiery Indian skipper:-.

The controversy erupted when Kohli read out a cricket enthusiast's comment on his mobile app: "Over-rated batsman and personally I see nothing special in his batting. I enjoy watching English and Australian batsmen more than these Indians.
Kohli responded, "Okay, I don't think you should live in India then you should go and live somewhere else, no? Why are you living in our country and loving other countries? I don't mind you not liking me but I don't think you should live in our country and like other things.
