#10. Shroud of Turin

Believed by some to be the burial cloth that Jesus was wrapped in when he was buried. The Shroud of Turin also bears an image that is rumored to be Jesus himself and as with many items on this list has been dubbed priceless. The artifact is currently kept in the royal chapel of the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin, Northern Italy and while the image was personally approved Pope Pius 12 in 1958. The Catholic Church has never voiced its opinions on the shroud. It is kept in a temperature controlled environment under bullet proof glass in an air-tight case and is kept on an aluminium support.

#9. Crown of Thorns

Thought to have been worn by Jesus during events leading up to the crucifixion. The woven crown of thorns was used to cause him both pain and to mock him.

#8. The Holy Grail

Possibly one of the most well known and talked about relics from the life of Jesus was the Holy Grail which he is said to have drank from at the last supper. It is said that the Holy Grail contains powers that provide both happiness and eternal youth. The Holy Grail is a treasure that serves as an important motif in Arthurian literature.

#7. Spear of Destiny

Spear of Destiny, also known as the Holy lance or the Holy Spear, this artifact was said to be a spear that was used pierce the side of Jesus as he hung on the cross. Since biblical times there have been four major relics that have claimed to be part of the Spear of Destiny and they are spread through Europe. This Spear is thought to have been split into two parts with the second larger piece lost sometime around 615 A.D.

#6. Veil of Veronica

This Christian relic is thought to have been used by Saint Veronica to wipe the blood and sweat from the face of Jesus during the Crucifixion. Its thought that the face of Jesus appeared on the veil and has stayed there ever since. The veil has been rumored to quench thirst, cure blindness and even raise the dead and its also thought that it was once offered to Roman Emperor Tiberius.

#5. Holy Nails

Relics that are claimed to be the Holy Nails with which Christ was crucified are objects of veneration among some Christians, particularly Roman Catholics and the Eastern Orthodox. The Holy Nails have become an object of veneration among many Christians and have been pictured in paintings and supposedly recovered.

#4. The Holy Coat

The Holy Coat is also known as The Holy Robe or The Holy Tunic. This seamless coat is said to have been worn by Jesus shortly before his death. It is claimed that the Robe was purchased from a soldier in Jerusalem and now lies beneath the Cathedral in Georgia. However, other conflicting reports place the robe in the Winter Palace in Russia.

#3. The Relic of the Holy Blood

The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a piece of cloth that is said to contain the blood of Jesus that is more well known as the Relic of the Precious Blood. It is said that Joseph of Arimathea preserved the Precious Blood after he had washed the body of Jesus and legend says that the artifact was taken to burges during the second Crusade.

#2. Scala Sancta

The Scala Sancta are a set of 28 white marble steps that are Roman Catholic relics located in an edifice on extraterritorial property of the Holy See in Rome, Italy proximate to the Archbasilica of Saint John in Laterano. Officially, the edifice is titled the Pontifical Sanctuary of the Holy Stairs. It is thought to be the steps that Jesus climbed during his trial. The stairs can only be ascended on the knees and the stairs also have two other modern day staircases on either side for traditional use.

The True Cross is the name for physical remnants which, by the tradition of most Christian Churches, are said to be from the cross upon which Jesus was crucified.

These relics are actually all fake, perperated by the Roman Catholic Church so that they can put them on display and make money from the ignorant, unsuspecting peasantry of those times. There is no authenticity for any of these objects.

Thank u for such a holy article, this article reminds abt the sacrifice made by Jesus for us. thank u for bringing a light on these sacred things used by almighty, at least we are able to see digitally through pictures. Jesus protect each one of us from all the sins, enlighten us towards righteousness, oh god my guiding father.
