Suzuki GSX-S300 New Model Spotted, Images Appear Online

The Suzuki GSX-S300 aka Hajoue DR300 has been in speculation for some time now regarding its debut both in India and the global markets. While sports biking enthusiasts patiently wait for the bike, Suzuki’s Chinese partner Hajoue seems to be planning to introduce a new model of the DR300 soon.

Leaked images of variant have already appeared on the internet and the vehicle seems to be a naked-faired streetfighter like the DR300. The new bike, however, sports a number of changes in its design. These include a wider and bigger handlebar, a lower and shorter tail, dual exhaust setup, and a fully new headlight assembly unit along with LED daytime running lights (DRLs).

The DR300 variant is likely to be hauled by the same parallel-twin, 300cc motor. The bike is expected to have the same chassis and will be mounted on upside-down (USD) front forks. Hajoue may introduce the model exclusively for the Chinese market. However, there’s a possibility that the bike will travel to European dealerships, given that it has an oversized rear number plate holder and side reflectors. The Hajoue DR300 may not be seen on Indian roads soon.

Meanwhile, the Suzuki Gixxer 250 is all set to be launched in India in June. Leaked images of the bike have revealed that the Gixxer 250 will be hauled by a four-valve, oil-cooled 250cc motor. The single overhead camshaft (SOHC), fuel-injected engine will produce 22-24PS maximum power and will be paired to a 6-speed gear system. The new bike will be a reworked version of the smaller Gixxer’s frame. The Suzuki Gixxer 250 will be mounted on front telescopic forks and rear monoshock absorbers. Single channel antilock braking system (ABS) is likely to be standard and both wheels will have disc brakes. The Gixxer 250 is expected to have a price of INR1.3-1.4 lakh. It will face competition from the Yamaha FZ 25 in terms of price and class.
