A very shocking and disturbing event occured as India's fastest train, Vande Bharat Express, was pelted with stones on Friday while it was en route to New Delhi station, from where it was to start its trial run to Prayagraj.
"Second coach from the front was hit near [Delhi's] Sadar area. In December, stones were pelted during the train's trial run between Delhi and Agra. A railway servant present in T-18 informed the escort party that a stone hit the window glass of coach no.188320 of T-18," a Northern Railway official said.
Nobody was harmed and no captures were made after the occurrence happened when the train left Sakurbasti at around 11:03 pm on Friday to achieve New Delhi to start its trial run to Allahabad, railroads said. The train was escorted by Railway Protection Force (RPF) faculty. No suspect was found.
