Samsung made bare its plans for the low-end market with the launch of the Galaxy M series comprising the Galaxy M10 and M20 in India recently. It seems the M series will also get a Galaxy M30 model as has been featured in a recent leak. The Galaxy M30 has once again leaked but we can’t vouch for the credibility of the source.
The Galaxy M30 has earlier appeared in a leak before the M10 and M20 were launched. The device had also appeared on GeekBench giving us a hint about the specs. The newly leaked specs are quite elaborate. The device is said to feature a 6.38-inch display with a resolution of 2220x1080pixels. The device is expected to be powered by an Exynos 7904 Soc with a memory combination of 4GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage.
The Galaxy M30 had earlier been tipped to ack a triple rear camera setup. This leak gives the sensors as 13MP (F1.9) + 5MP (F2.2 ) +5MP (F2.2) while at the front, there will be a 16MP (F2.0) selfie shooter. Under its hood, the M30 will pack a 5000mA battery. The device is also tipped to feature a gradient design available in gradient blue and black.

Essential PH-2 could have front-facing camera placed behind the display - Gizmochina
It's interesting to see this recent trickle of signs of life from Essential. The PH-1 was such a beautiful disaster of a phone - overpriced, a flawed camera, and not properly marketed, but the form factor and build quality of the phone are second to none ( the Ocean Depths version was the most aesthetically pleasing mobile device ever made, in my opinion). Plus the stripped down Android OS simply can't be beat. Then the first rumors of a successor came, following signs the company was struggling... Maybe they're going after a much more niche market (or maybe I'm simply out of touch with the current demands for tech), but the thought of an AI focused phone does not exactly sound that exciting to me. I'm hoping that either the PH-2 referenced in this article is a more conventional, third handset from Essential, or that the AI component rumored earlier is just a facet of their next device. I would also be interested to see if Essential will wait for Android Q to be released before releasing their next phone. Possibly even Fuchsia? I, personally don't see Google releasing many more versions of Android beyond Q and the rumor mill around Fuchsia is starting to show increased signs of activity. It's a fun thought at least!Regardless, only time will tell. I just hope Essential can keep it together long enough to make a comeback.
