Forever has finally begun for the star couple, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. The duo tied the knot in a beautiful Hindu ceremony on December 2 at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.
While there Christian wedding was the stuff of dreams, the Hindu ceremony spoke of the bespoke Indian culture.
For the Hindu wedding, the bride donned a stunning red lehenga by ace-designer Sabyasachi and we are in love with the colour.
The custom-made impossible couture creation, in the words of the ace-designer himself, was adorned with hand-embroidered and hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, delicate Siam-red crystals and layer upon layer of threadwork.
Priyanka's wedding lehenga took about 3,720 man hours and 110 embroiderers from Kolkata to create the masterpiece.
The bride's jewellery was an ode to the resplendence of Mughal era and was crafted with uncut diamonds, emeralds and Japanese cultured pearls in 22 karat gold.
It was also adorned with delicate tiny stars in uncut diamonds to give a sense of whimsy vibe to an important traditional piece.
Whereas the groom donned a hand-quilted silk sherwani with a hand-embroidered chikan dupatta and a chanderi tissue safa.
His rose cut kalgi and syndicate diamond necklace were from the house of Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection.
