A huge stash of weapons and Nazi material uncovered in Italy, protests in Israel, a mine disaster in Pakistan and a cute bear gets a new lease on life in China. SEE THE PHOTOS

Police in northern Italy have detained three men, including one linked to a Neo-Fascist Italian political party, after uncovering a huge stash of automatic weapons, a missile and material featuring Nazi symbols.

Authorities said the discoveries stemmed from a previous investigation into Italians who took part in the Russian-backed insurgency in eastern Ukraine.

In Israel, Ethiopian Israeli activists protested outside the country’s parliament, calling for societal change after an unarmed member of their community was shot by a police officer.

One of the protesters outside the Knesset told The Jerusalem Postshe believed racism was: “DNA of the state – the DNA brought from Europe, the DNA of white people. They don’t really like black people.”

Pakistani rescue teams are working to free 10 miners trapped after a methane gas explosion.

And a cute moon bear has posed in front of the camera. The fuzzy creature was rescued by Animals Asia Foundation's bear program.
