New Delhi, June 19: It is really painful to see the pain and trauma through which Major Ketan Sharma's wife is going; will an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh and promised a government job to a family member bring any relief?

Major Ketan Sharma was an adorable son, a loving husband and a doting father. Sharma's death was a national loss, but the grieving pictures of his family are very disturbing. He loved travelling with his family and the pictures of his holidays are in abundance on social media accounts.

The city also wants to give tribute to its brave son and a road will also be named after the braveheart.

Final Journey was emotionally charged and moving

It was a very emotional scene on Tuesday when a large number of people gathered in Meerut at Ketan's residence to receive his mortal remains.Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Army Chief General Bipin Rawat visited the martyr and paid their homage to the brave son of the soil, Major Sharma.

It was a huge sea of people who gathered in Meerut to give tribute at the residence of Major Ketan Sharma and receive his mortal remains.

The entire streets of Meerut were full of flowers as hundreds paid floral tribute to the brave son.

The brave Indian Army Major lost his life after an encounter broke out between the security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Monday. In the encounter, a terrorist was also killed.

Nothing can console the grieving family but when things settle down after some time the ex-gratia and the government job will heal the wound to some extent.
