Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan starrer 'Kedarnath' released across the country on December 7th. While the film marks the debut for Sara, it is set against the backdrop of the 2013 Kedarnath tragedy when the holy place of worship was hit by a massive flood, claiming thousands of lives. Now, after the somewhat decent reviews of the film so far, netizens have given their verdict on the Abhishek Kapoor directorial.
Netizens seem to be in two minds about the film, while some really liked it, others called it a disaster. One Twitter user compared the film with Titanic and called it an Indian version of the film. He called the movie good in bits and pieces and said Sara was the best thing about the film. Another enthusiastic fan congratulated both the leads for their performances and added that he wishes he could have recorded people applauding in the cinema halls at the end of the film. One more netizen commented on the VFX and called it outstanding while again praises Sara Ali Khan in particular.

Overall ,A must watch movie..
Very good direction by.. @Abhishekapoor
Coming to the not so favourable reactions, some Twitterati called the love story unconvincing and the entire film rather dull. With the exception of the flood sequences and the actress, the film doesn't have much to offer they feel. One went as far as to call it a disaster and clubbed it with films like 'Raabta', 'Sawariya', 'Roy', 'Anjana Anjani' & 'Namaste England'!
#OneWordReview…#Kedarnath: DULL.— ashu (@ashutosh2369) December 7, 2018
Unconvincing love story... Sketchy and unexciting screenwriting... Few moments [sequences depicting the floods] stand out... Emotions are superficial... Sara Ali Khan makes a terrific debut... Sushant is ordinary... #KedarnathReview
#Kedarnath#KedarnathReview : #Kedarnath is equivalent to combined boredom of disastrous films like Raabta, Sawariya, Roy, Anjana Anjani & Namaste England!— Vivek Sharma (@Perfect3Strange) December 7, 2018
Very boring and unwatchably bad. The leads share a poor chemistry.
Avoid it! It is that BAD.
Not even a one time watch!! pic.twitter.com/9awnjljn20
However, one big takeaway from the critics and audiences alike is that everyone is in love with Sara Ali Khan. The debutante's performance has been universally liked and many are of the opinion that she could be the next big thing in Bollywood. Well, for a newcomer that is definitely the highest level of praise.
