Kartik Aaryan who made his debut with Luv Ranjan's Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011 has become the national crush especially after being added in the dating list of Bollywood princess Sara Ali Khan.
While, the women are going gaga over Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor for his charming looks and commendable acting, his journey to reach at this level is quite struggling.
On Koffee With Karan Season 6 couch, the actor recently revealed that he has worked hard to be a part of Bollywood and never really focused on studies.
in their upcoming film Luka Chuppi, shared how he has struggled to be an actor.
Karan Johar, the show host spilled the beans to the audience that Kartik got into a university in Bombay and later left it because of the attendance issues because he was auditioning for his first break in Bollywood.
''I think social media has helped me out to become an actor. It was through Facebook and Google that I used to look out for auditions. Because I didn't know anyone so I used to search for it,'' Kartik said on the show.
''I used to type keywords like actors required and casting calls on Facebook and Google and then go from New Bombay to Bombay to stay close with the industry,'' Kartik added.
Luka Chuppi actor later revealed that he completed his engineering degree after Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 because his parents wanted that he should be a padha-likha actor.
The 28-year-old actor also said that he used to share his two-bedroom apartment with 12 other struggling actors.
''We were like a happy family. We used to pile up on each other,'' Sonu Ke Titu Ke Sweety actor laughed.
Earlier in January this year, he shared an old picture on his Instagram handle which got him his first audition. He wrote, ''When the hair wasn't up. The photo that got me my debut film's audition.'' #MainePyaarKiyalook to #PyarKaPunchama.
On the work front, he is busy shooting for Pati Patni Aur Woh with Ananya Pandey and Bhumi Pednekar.

The film Luka Chuppi which is releasing on March 1, is a romantic comedy set in Mathura. The film depicts the idea of live-in relationships and how parents are involved in it.
