- The RC 125 is Rs 17,000 more expensive than the 125 Duke.
- It is powered by the same 124.7 single-cylinder motor as seen on the 125 Duke.
- Also shares the same underpinnings as the naked variant.
KTM has finally launched the RC 125 in India at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). At this price, the new RC 125 is Rs 17,000 more expensive than the KTM 125 Duke on which it is based.
The baby RC follows the same design language as its bigger RC cousins, the RC 200 and the RC 390. However, to set itself apart from the other RC models, the RC 125 gets a new black and orange paint scheme with new decals. The twin projector headlamps and LED DRLs are similar to the bigger RC models.
Being a fully faired motorcycle, the RC 125 has gained some extra weight as well. While the 125 Duke tips the scale at 148kg, the RC 125 weighs 154kg. Powering the RC 125 is the same 124.7 single-cylinder motor as seen on the 125 Duke. This motor pumps out 14.5PS and 12Nm of torque, which is exactly the same as the naked variant. The new RC 125 features the same WP suspension setup as the 125 Duke: 43mm USD fork with 125mm travel up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware consists of a 300mm front and 240mm rear disc brake with single-channel ABS offered as standard.
If you are planning to add this baby RC to your garage, then we are happy to report that bookings have already commenced and deliveries will begin by the end of this month. In terms of rivals, it goes up against the Yamaha R15 V3.0, which retails at Rs 1.39 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. We will get our hands on this baby RC soon, so stay tuned to ZigWheels for more updates.
