Vegans may want to start planning a trip to Scotland, where the UK's first 100 per cent vegan hotel is opening its doors!
The Saorsa 1875 is set to open in Pitlochry in June, and it's been specifically "designed for vegans, vegetarians and the plant-curious".
We're not just talking about the food (although of course there will be heaps of plant-based dishes on offer at the restaurant, and even vegan-friendly cocktails at the on-site bar).
Everything is vegan-friendly from the toiletries in the bathrooms to the cleaning products used in the hotel.
For example, toiletries are certified cruelty free and vegan so you can indulge with a spot of pampering, while all of the housekeeping team use eco-friendly products including Method’s range of nature inspired, non-toxic and non-animal-tested cleaning products.
Fancy a snack? The minibar will be packed with vegan treats which are locally-sourced, as well as a few well-known brands too.
Even the way the hotel is powered is eco-friendly as it uses Ecotricity, a Vegan Society certified energy company.
Oh, and if you want to bring your beloved pooch, go ahead, as the hotel is dog-friendly too.
Jack McLaren-Stewart, co-founder and Head of Lifestyle, said: "We want to show people that veganism isn’t just a compassionate, ethical choice, it’s also an exciting, vibrant way of life.
"The innovation that we’ve seen across food and fashion in recent years has been hugely inspiring and we’re excited to be part of the world’s fastest growing social justice movement."
The hotel itself is set to offer a boutique feel as well with just 11 bedrooms, all of which are individually styled.
Sound like your kind of place? Prices start from £100 per night for a single room or £130 per night for a double. You can book on the Saorsa 1875 website.
