Vivo introduced the Z-series in India with Z1 Pro last month. The Z1 Pro is a great phone for the price it comes for. Looks like the company is now gearing up to launch the second Z-series smartphone in the country. Vivo is expected to launch the second Z-series phone in India in September. The launch date is yet to be officially revealed by the company. Ahead of the launch, we at India Today Tech can confirm that the upcoming Vivo Z-series smartphone will be bigger on specs when compared to the Vivo Z1 Pro. Sources close to us have confirmed that the Vivo Z-series phone will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

This is for the first time that a Vivo Z series phone will have fingerprint sensor beneath the screen and not on the rear panel. To recall, the Vivo Z1 Pro had the fingerprint sensor in the middle of the back panel. We can also confirm that for the upcoming Z-series phone Vivo will follow the Vivo Z1 Pro-like pricing strategy. This means that the Vivo Z-series phone launching next month will be affordable.

We can confirm that the upcoming Vivo Z-series phone will be priced under Rs 20,000 in India. To recall Vivo Z1 Pro comes in three variants in India. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage for Rs 14,990, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage for Rs 16,990, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage for Rs 18,990.

With the Z-series, Vivo is aiming to build its online retail business in India. The Vivo Z1 Pro was launched with the same aim and similar strategy will be followed for the upcoming Vivo Z-series phone as well. For now, we don't know anything else about the upcoming Vivo Z-series phone.

As far as the specs are concerned the Vivo Z1 Pro comes with an in-display camera. The phone includes a 32-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. On the rear panel, the Vivo Z1 Pro packs 3 cameras. The primary camera in the Vivo Z1 Pro uses a 16-megapixel sensor that is accompanied by an 8-megapixel super-wide secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The Vivo Z1 Pro comes packed with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display that offers screen-to-body-ratio of 90.77 per cent and resolution of 2340x1080pixels. It is the first smartphone in India to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor. The Vivo Z1 Pro includes a massive 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology. The phone runs Android 9 Pie with Funtouch 9.0 on top.
