Talking about her day looks, Sonam rocked in a red ruffled gown by Maison Valentino. She beautifully braided her hair and accentuated her look with floral decoration on her plait. Then she wore a navy blue silk Ellie Saab couture for her press meets. Sonam looked graceful and charming.
And then later for the Chopard dinner, she donned an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla creation. She fused the Indian saree look with a contemporary gown and completed her look with a grand drape over her head. She wore a beautiful cloth choker and looked every bit royal.
Now, coming to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, well, I’d say her Day 1 red carpet look was better than the white feather game she displayed yesterday. Right from her hairdo to make-up, everything looked we have seen it a number of times on Mrs Bachchan. The Ashi studio gown didn’t impress at all. It looked confused and chaotic. And the white strappy heels just gave an overdose of white.
However, her day looks were far better, especially the denim one. Aishwarya wore an embellished blue denim long jacket with high-waist jeans by Falguni and Shane Peacock. She styled her tresses in loose curls and smacked those perfect pouty lips with her signature red colour.
The Leal Daccarett easy-flowy red and white striped dress also got our attention. Overall, I’d say Aishwarya put up a better show during the day than in the evening at the red carpet.
