BOB Notification 2018 (or BOB Manipal 2018 Notification) for PO Recruitment has been released recently on its official site bankofbaroda.co.in. Online registration for BOB Recruitment 2018 process has been started from 12th June 2018. The last date to apply online is 2nd July 2018. This year, BOB has announced 600 vacancies for PO posts. The recruitment to 600 posts will be through admission to Baroda Manipal School of Banking. Students will be inducted in Baroda Manipal School of Banking through a selection process (commonly known as BOB Manipal PO Recruitment process 2018 – 19).

BOB Manipal Banking Program 2018-19: Details of Seats

As per the notification, a total of 600 students will be inducted in Baroda Manipal School of Banking through the current selection exercise for 2018-19 (April 2018 to March 2019). The intake of students in batches will be decided by the Bank, as per the requirement.

BOB Manipal Banking Program 2018-19: Selection Process

The complete selection procedure is divided into two steps:

• Online Written Exam + Descriptive Test

• Psychometric Test (Qualifying) + Group Discussion + Interview

First candidates will appear for an online test of 2 Hours 30 minutes. After online candidates need to write a descriptive paper (30 minutes).

Successful candidates will be called for GD (Group Discussion)/PI (Personal Interview)/PT (Psychometric Test).

• The descriptive paper of only such candidates who secure a minimum qualifying mark in the objective test will be assessed.

• There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.

• For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

• If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is given by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.

• Candidates are required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score in the online test to be shortlisted for Psychometric Assessment Test, Group Discussion & Interview.

• Candidates will be shortlisted for Group Discussion & Interview depending on the number of vacancies, cut-off in each test and total marks secured in the online test as decided by the Bank.

Group Discussion (GD)/Personal Interview (PI)/Psychometric Test:

(i) The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in the Online Test will be arranged in descending order in each category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to 4 times the number of intake in each category, will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying marks in Online examination, Group Discussion & Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

(ii) The Final merit list for selection shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in Online test (objective + descriptive), Group Discussion and Interview.

(iii) In case more than one candidate scores the cut off marks (common mark at cut off point), such candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order.

(iv) A candidate should qualify in all the processes of selection, i.e. Online Examination, GD and Personal Interview and sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for selection subject to the vacancies available under the respective category.

While appearing for GD/PI, the candidate should produce valid prescribed documents (mentioned in the notification).

In the absence of documents candidature of the candidates shall be cancelled. Bank takes no responsibility to receive/ connect any certificate/remittance/ document sent separately.

BOB PO Salary and career growth

After successful completion of the Post Graduate Certificate in Banking and Finance, the candidate would be offered appointment in the Bank as PO in JMG/S-I which is presently in the scale of pay Rs. 23700 - 980 × 7/30560 -1145 × 2/32850 1310 × 7/42020.

BOB PO will also be eligible for DA, HRA / Rent Reimbursement & CCA as per rules from time to time.

As per the latest information, at present, the initial annual CTC is approximately Rs 8 lacs (including perquisites) in Metropolitan Centres.

The gross annual salary on joining the Bank will be approximately Rs 8 lacs (including perquisites) in a Metropolitan Centres.

BOB officers are entitled to various benefits/perquisites, facilities from the bank like various reimbursements/perquisites, concessional loan facilities for different purposes, LTC / LFC, holiday home, medical facilities for self and dependents, etc

Note: The above mentioned various salary/perquisites, benefits, etc. may increase in future, by time to time the candidates join the services of the Bank.

BOB Manipal Recruitment 2018-19: Eligibility Criteria (Age & Educational Qualification)

I – Age Limit (as on 02.07.2018)

Minimum – 20 years

Maximum – 28 years

A candidate must have been born not earlier than 03.07.1990 and not later than 02.07.1998 (both dates inclusive).

II. Educational Qualification

You should be a Graduate in any discipline with 55% marks from a recognized university.

(Result should have been declared on or before 02.07.2018. Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 02.07.2018 has to be submitted at the time of interview).

Note: 54.99% will be treated as less than 55% and 49.99% will be treated as less than 50%.

BOB Manipal Recruitment 2018-19: Course details and its fees

Duration of the course:

The duration of this course is1 year. The selected students will go through nine months of on-campus residential program at the Baroda Manipal School of Banking leading to award of a Post Graduate Certificate in Banking & Finance by Manipal University followed by a three months work integrated learning (WIL) in the form of On the Job Training at any branch of Bank of Baroda leading to award of a Post-Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance by Manipal University.

The course is extendable to a further 18 months of blended learning which is optional at the option of the students and which will lead to award of MBA in Banking and Finance from Manipal University.

Fees of the Course:

The fees for this Course will be Rs.3,45,000/- (all inclusive of boarding, Lodging and course fees, other fees, etc.) plus applicable taxes to be paid by the student.

Apart from the above course fees, the exam fees (additional) for undergoing various Certification exams viz. NISM (Mutual Funds) and NISM (Depository services) as mandated under the course will have to be borne by the candidates, as per the fees charged by NISM from time to time for conducting these Certification exams. Currently, the fees for NISM (Mutual Funds) and NISM (Depository services) certification exams comes to Rs. 2500/- per candidate.

BOB Manipal Recruitment 2018-19: How to apply

Interested candidates can apply online through the link given in the career page of Bank’s website . No other means/ mode of application will be accepted by the bank.

To apply online candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID & contact number. It should be kept active till completion of this selection process. Bank may send call letters for Online test, GD, interview, Offer of admission, etc. through the registered email ID. In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/she should create his/ her new email ID before applying Online.
