Ozan Kabak battle
Arsenal and Manchester United are vying for Galatasaray centre-back Ozan Kabak. That’s according to The Sun, who claim both Premier League clubs have sent scouts to watch the talented 18-year-old in action.
Kabak is enjoying an impressive breakthrough season with the Turkish club having become a pivotal figure in their defence - starting three crucial Champions League fixtures.
But his exploits have attracted interest from a number of European heavyweights including United, Arsenal, Roma and Inter Milan.
The Sun claim Galatasaray would sell for £20million, although other reports suggest Kabak has a lowly £7m release clause for clubs outside Turkey.
Unai Emery to snub Mesut Ozil
Unai Emery will not start Mesut Ozil against Huddersfield this weekend in the Premier League, according to Paul Merson.
Arsenal have impressed in securing a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford and a 4-2 win over rivals Tottenham last weekend.
And Merson thinks Emery will be hesitant to change anything drastic in his starting line-up.
He told Sky Sports: “Will Mesut Ozil return for Arsenal this weekend? I don't see Unai Emery bringing him back in now as Arsenal will try to play in the same vein as they did against Tottenham and Manchester United.
“Huddersfield were bang unlucky against Bournemouth and I also thought they were unlucky against Brighton with Steve Mounie's sending off.
“However, I don't see anything but an Arsenal win. They will have too much for David Wagner's side at the Emirates.”
Arsenal could face unlikely competition for Barcelona ace Malcom.
According to Catalan daily Sport, Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande are sniffing around.
Guangzhou aren’t averse to doing business with Barca.
Paulinho returned to Guangzhou on loan in the summer having only moved to the Nou Camp 12 months before.
Malcom was regarded as one the hottest stars in Ligue 1 when flying at Bordeaux and caught the eye of Arsenal spies.
The Gunners are expected to swoop for another striker in January - especially with Danny Welbeck now out injured.
